Weekend in Edinburgh, we can’t go can we? Hotel refusing to refund

We’ve had a weekend in Edinburgh booked since December, the event that we were due to attend has of course been cancelled

We were still going to go, but as I understand it, the advice is to not travel there unless necessary isn’t it? To be fair we did book the hotel on an ‘early booking no amendment’ basis but seeing as we can’t go surely they should refund us?

Sounds like a good time to see Edinburgh without the crowds! Check what's going to be open. Do a lot of walking!

You have picked a gorgeous hotel nicest holiday inn I have ever been in. Tram stop right outside too which will take you into city Center within 10mins.

@Passthebubbly the tram doesn’t go that way. But there are tonnes of buses. Get a Ridacard thingy and you can hop on any Lothian bus (most on that route are, just the odd xbus might not be).

I'm not sure if the Dungeons will be open it's pretty rubbish and identical to the one in York anyway as I thought indoor attractions were closed .

You don't need a ridacard for a short stay as buses now do contactless payment so either pay as you go per trip or if you're taking more than 2 buses a day, buy a day ticket.
