Anyone else concerned we'll be added into the lock down of 'the north'?

Deliaskis you are right, it does seem like a one way street and very ineffective elsewhere. I wish they would stop all the silly leaks and just announce the facts.

I'm cheshire east and I'm guessing we'll be tier two! Forgive me for not doing my research, so that's just no house holds mixing inside? Does it also mean no travelling (apart from work) I have family an hour away and just wondering what it will mean!

I'm Cheshire East. DD is meant to be coming up from London next week for a visit. Also she has a get together planned in Manchester with friends, restaurant booked.
Doesn't look likely though now, but will just wait and see.

Well there we go. Tier 2, no mixing households indoors at all. Sad

YerawizardHarree · 12/10/2020 16:34

Damn does that mean we can't leave?

No I think you can, just only with members of household, not mixing with others.

(not totally sure on this)

Comefromaway · 12/10/2020 18:01

Well I’ve decided that Dd will still come home from college for half term as she has dental surgery in our home city scheduled for the day she breaks up & she will not be allowed to drive afterwards so it will necessitate an overnight stay.

I think if you bubble up it should be okay.. I don't know if we can see my mum but she's single so maybe we can because we can bubble with her?

These are the current guidelines apparently

•Different households mixing indoors is NOT allowed. This includes in homes and hospitality venues.
•Households CAN mix outdoors but subject to the rule of six and social distancing.
•An exemption exists for paid and informal childcare, which applies to children under 14.
•You must minimise travel, but you can travel for education, work and go on holiday.
•Travel to places elsewhere in the UK is allowed so long as local restrictions in those places are obeyed. You can still go on holidays outside the UK as well as per guidance.
•You can leave the county and local authority area but you cannot travel to a neighbouring county in order to mix households there. That is not allowed.
•The hospitality sector including pubs and restaurants will remain open.
•There will be increased financial support and increased support for test and trace
