I haven’t heard of any other countries going into another full lockdown or closing schools again.

What do you mean by "any other" countries"? Do you know any countries that are doing this?

Paris and Marseilles in France and Brussels in Belgium closed bars and pubs without kitchens apparently.
Rule of 4 people in Belgium.

Australia had regional lockdowns

This was true about 3 weeks ago. Many of them have gone further, but this is notes on of the dc made for a homework.

France is trying to avoid another lockdown, but they've bought in compulsory mask wearing in public areas and workplaces. Their cases are shooting up again now.

Spain has face coverings mandatory for anyone older than six on all forms of public transport and in most indoor areas, and most are saying outside too. Children are also asked to wear masks at school.

Denmark had a small first wave but as it
began to rise in August, they made face masks on public transport mandatory and Bars, restaurants and nightclubs must close by 10pm.

Belgium was starting to reopen, but then stopped that when cases started to rise again. Face masks are compulsory in all public areas. Nightclubs are closed, major events with lots of people are not allowed, and fans are permitted back into football games at a limited capacity only.

Italy all nightclubs and dance halls are closed In all public spaces in Italy where social distancing is not possible, people must wear face coverings - but only between the hours of 6pm and 6am. Meanwhile, schools have reopened, despite officials in many regions calling the step premature.

Israel has the first major second lockdown. They declared "the battle won", and then had a resurgence of Covid-19. The nation has a second country-wide lockdown, with schools, restaurants, malls, hotels and other businesses all ordered to shut. New rules also limit groups to maximum 20 people, and people are not allowed to travel more than one kilometre from their home.

Germany has extended its ban on large gatherings until the end of the year. Testing at airports is mandatory for all people arriving from high-risk countries. Fines starting from 50 euros (£46) have been brought in for anyone failing to wear a mask on public transport or in shops. The football season has begun, but with no fans present.

Australian state of Victoria reacted to a rise in cases by imposing a second state-wide lockdown in July.

So Israel has had the biggest second lockdown so far, but many other countries are imposing restrictions.

Much further now than the above, over half the population of France has had its bars shut, Spain is in similar position... only Italy seems to be escaping I suspect they are closer to herd immunity

South Korea closed all its schools in August for a while.

Some Auckland NZ schools were closed recently.

A lot of American schools have refused to open at all this fall, whole districts have gone to online learning.

Most Japanese schools/Unis planned at least some F2F learning this autumn.

Most schools in Indonesia remain closed since March.

East & South Africa are mixed.

Sweden never closed their lower schools, doesn't seem like they will get a 2nd wave, anyway.

Right hodgepodge, really. Europe/UK seems to be one of the more fully open places.

Italy will bring in further measures this week, they've already been proposed and will be voted on on Wednesday. These will include pubs and bars closing at 11pm.

Schools are open, but lots of measures in place. DD is in a blended learning class. They do one week at school and one joining the lesson via video link from home. Their temperatures are checked before being allowed in every morning. There was a case in a class last Wednesday and so the school has been closed for "deep cleaning" with everyone online.

Regional governors are wanting to close regions, ours included. I hope they do. The biggest mistake was opening up the regions for the summer. In June we had zero cases. We're on about 500 now. Lots of holidaymakers coming down here, lots of people from here travelling especially to Croatia, Malta etc.

This week face masks outside were made compulsory at all times.
