Who is unreasonable - me or employer?

I work in a company where most roles require staff to be on site - factory work. However, I have an office job so I do not need to be there, but my employer is insisting I work on site despite the government guidance to work from home if your job permits. Managers have been wfh for months.

My employer says I am safe because I have my own office to work in as the managers are working from home, but I do have to share kitchen and toilet facilities with around 40 people, as well as use doors and entrances.

Is it reasonable for my manager to force me to come in because the office is empty? Or should I be working from home as my job can easily be done from home?

If your employer can ensure you can SD and theres adequate cleaning processes and mask wearing in place for communal areas then yes they can ask you to be on site rather than home

Contact the Health and Safety executive if you believe your workplace is not Covid secure.. its dickhead ideas of 'presenteeism' that will continue to drive this virus.

The less people moving around the better and your boss can do his/her bit by sending all home who are able to WFH effectively and have the kit to do so.
