Nothing to do with the schools going back then.

I'm an infant school teacher, absolutely love being in school, in fact I'm increasingy hours soon to work full time. But schools are germ couldrons at the best of times. Stop blaming the public, Bozo! Most of us are making the right choices.

The second wave has come from schools and then the parents catch it and take it to the office the government told them to go back to and it spreads very quickly.
Tomatoesneedtoripen · 02/10/2020 18:56

and people got complacent, among them mumsnetters, who think it should be allowed to spread.
you might not be complacent, you are taking offence that plenty of people are?

islockdownoveryet · 02/10/2020 18:57

If anyone is to blame its him and his crappy party .
1/ virus wasn't in the country until late February my arse it was around a lot earlier .
2) letting a adviser off for driving to the other end of the country while ill with the virus and in lockdown.
3) relaxing the lockdown with the rule of 6 or 30 so you could meet different people every day if you wanted . A rule of 1 or 2 households would of made more sense and he wonders why the virus has spread Hmm
4) telling people to go back to work then 5 minutes later no stay home . In fact all the rules are bloody ridiculous and make no sense and I don't believe for a minute there is a science to them .

islockdownoveryet · 02/10/2020 18:58

And not to mention the whole track and trace fiasco.
I could go on ....

What are you accusing me of? I'm too tired to work it out.

I can't stand this government, they really are the worst in living memory. None of them can take any responsibility whatsoever, constantly passing the buck and deflecting at every turn.

We need Nicola Sturgeon to lead an emergency UK government

DressingGownofDoom · 02/10/2020 19:06

Any wonder after Dominic Cummings and telling us all to eat out and go back to work. Cheeky fucker.

^you forgot encouraging people to go to beaches, crowded parks and holidays abroad.

beela · 02/10/2020 19:09

Ffs. It's not because we got complacent. It's because they relaxed the rules Angry

Now they need to tighten them again.

Isn't this basically what they thought would happen? Why is it now our fault?

Kaiserin · 02/10/2020 19:12

Whenever has a Tory taken responsibility for anything, ever?
Their supporters love to bleat "personal responsibility" at every turn, but the modus operandi of the Tory party (at least for the last 10 years) has always been "blame someone else": benefit claimants, immigrants, the EU... surely it was only a matter of time before the British public as a whole became their new scapegoat?

Bluewavescrashing · 02/10/2020 19:13

I'm pissed off with tory voting DH. He harps on about rising taxes but actually I think Labour would have handled this much better.

And this is why I've been angry about the deliberately vague messages. It's all been so the government can't be blamed, it'll always be the publics fault.

Despicable.

Mummyoflittledragon · 02/10/2020 19:25

Tosser.

Where I am in the south east, people have got complacent, particularly since retail staff have been required to wear a mask.

The amount of customers that are coming into our shop with no face covering has risen dramatically in the last week, it's about 60% without now where as it was probably about 10% before. It seems that because the staff are wearing masks, the customers feel they don't need to bother? These are the same people that have been wearing masks and face coverings for weeks so clearly aren't exempt but suddenly they aren't bothering.

With traveling time, I'm wearing a mask for around 11 hours a day just for work, longer if I need to go shopping myself. I'm finding it really hard going, I work in a hot environment and it's draining, I'm irritable and have a headache and dry mouth on my working days now but I'll stick with it because we all need an end to this.

islockdownoveryet · 02/10/2020 20:24

@ yes @Clutterbugsmum that too also someone mentioned the eat out to help out scheme then 5 minutes later pubs shut at 10pm and of course it's the pubs fault even though social distancing has gone out the window now in shops .
I'm sure there are many more and then we get some pro Boris fans saying well many others could do worse and it's peoples fault because they won't stay the fuck home .Hmm
