Has anyone with coronavirus had a rash as a symptom?

I have a rash all over my belly, legs, neck and back. No other corona symptoms but thinking I should book a test anyway as I’ve read online that a rash is a symptom though not yet ‘official’ - anyone? Really worried and don’t know what else this could be, I’ve not changed my detergent or anything like that so don’t think it’s an allergic reaction

It could be Pityriasis Rosea which usually starts off as a circular patch which looks a bit like ringworm but you could miss it and is a rash mainly on the torso which can last a few weeks but is harmless

In some people a rash is the only sign that they have Covid and is actually caused by an immune response to the virus and not the virus itself.

@WhentheDealGoesDown1 thank you I hadn’t heard of this but have just looked it up and I think it’s what I’ve got 😭

there has been a gallery of images of skin rashes seen in COVID released by the british association of dermatologists.

I had a widespread rash in July and when I rang my gp they tolf me to get a COVID test. It was negative, but this was on about day 10 pf symptoms so who knows. I still have patches of the reash on my arms, and unhelpfully the GP then just declared it a viral rash. It was/is very itchy too.

Where I live (not UK) a rash is not only an official symptom, it gets you fast tracked for testing and in to see a doctor.

I came out in a hive type rash all over my back and arms and was tested through the Zoe symptom tracker app. I convinced myself i might be positive as could not explain why this rash had suddenly appeared. My rash disappeared after a few hours and my test was negative.

I would probably ring your GP OP as although pityriasis rosea is quite common it does appear or the list of rashes that PPs have posted for COVID. I had pityriasis rosea years ago and it lasted about 2-3 months but wasn’t too bothersome just slightly itchy. At least it is cooler now so easier to keep it covered
