Ugh.
My 9mo DD has had two Covid tests so far - one because nursery said she had a cough and couldn't go back until she was tested negative, and then a week later because she was sent home with a temperature.
The latest test was last Tuesday (22nd September) and the result came back negative on Friday.
Yesterday she developed a wheezy/rattly chest and she has been coughing overnight - not constantly, but not a nice cough.
I phoned the doctor yesterday to try and get an appt (before the cough developed) and I have to phone again this morning to try and get a slot today - the first thing they asked was whether she was displaying any Covid symptoms, and at the time she wasn't, but now she has this horrid barking cough.
No temperature.
I know they'll ask me again this morning if she has symptoms but I think she needs to see a doctor for a chest infection or something - she's wheezy and also very snotty so I think it's that combined with a nursery cold.
As she only had her test last week... surely they can't say she needs a neg test result before they see her? As if it was negative on Tuesday, she wouldn't have caught it and developed symptoms in a week?
Or am I kidding myself and we'll have to go AGAIN and wait AGAIN before she can see a doctor for something potentially quite bad?! 😩
