Do schools see results of Covid tests?

There are kids at our school who've been in coughing, been sent home, come back coughing and not been tested.

There are kids not being sent home at all.

And yet 3/4s of the school is shut due to just one case.

Are schools allowed to see results of a Covid test if a student is sent home with a cough - or do they have to rely on trust?

Our school asked for me to email a copy of the results to them.

The HT of the school near here sends them home again if they are still showing symptoms and they haven't had a test.

And he has the support of the majority of the parents in this. He's had to phone a parent at work to collect an obviously ill child.

We were asked to provide proof of a negative test result in order for DS to be allowed back into school.
I provided it willingly- why wouldn't you?

I forwarded the email results I got for my son onto the school. There was no information in the email that they don't already have (my email, his full name).
