So anxious 😔 I have been shielding up until September as CEV. DP complained of a headache and sore throat for last few days. Was coughing all night and now today has lost taste and smell. Been together 20 years and I can count on one hand how many times he’s even had a sniffle. Obvs have now done a test, which was surprisingly easy to access, and he has shut himself away in the bedroom. But he has been around the kids and I over the last few days. Very worried 😦

Try not to panic (I know easier said). It might not be covid and even if it is you might not catch it. My DP tested positive, no one else in the house (myself and 3 DC) caught it.

Don't panic (easier said than done). Might not be covid but if it is you and the children might not catch it. My children had the exact covid symptoms back at the start of all this. Not tested as wasn't happening much but they had been in contact with someone who was also told they likely had it. Anyway, they were quite poorly but myself and hubby never got it despite that they were sleeping in our bed and close contact etc! I hope he feels better soon!

Try not to worry though easier said than done. Of all the people I know who have had covid, none of them have passed it onto anyone in their house. That includes my a man whose wife is ECV and she tested negative!

Try not to worry. Easier said than done, I know.

I know people that have had and other family members didn’t get it. If he stays in the room and you both clean the shared bathroom before and after use you could avoid it. Kids don’t seem too effected on the whole and don’t seem to spread it much.

If you do get it, most people are ok. Doctors are learning more and more about how to treat it.

Do what you can infection control wise but inbetween try and take your mind off it.

Good luck. FlowersCakeBrew

Thanks everyone x Really helpful to know others haven’t caught it despite members of their household having it. Am quite shocked as he is literally never ill and is really quite poorly bless him. Going to try my best to keep calm and having a glass of wine with Eastenders xx
