In hospital waiting for a new hip and the ward next door has a Covid case. I really don't know what to do.

I've been waiting a couple of years to get to this stage. I just overheard a nurse telling off an orderly outside bay next door. She had just been in to a personas bay and as she came out was told she shouldn't have been as the patient has Covid - unconfirmed I think as yet from what I heard but my consultant has already told me I'm
20X more likely to die if I catch it in the days following my operation.

I'm now so scared and wondering whether to just put up with all the agony I'm in and postpone or whether that would be a stupid move.

I'm all done. It was a doddle. So much nicer than GA just wide awake as soon as they were done.

Feeling so itchy I could rip my skin off. I think that's the effects of the epidural wearing off.

They showed me my bone which was awesome - think it was a compromise as I did ask if they'd film it 😂

That's great @OriginalD0G! So pleased it went well. They showed you your bone? You are nails! I would have freaked out.

Wishing you a speedy and comfortable recovery. Hope the itching abates soon.

@OriginalD0G - great to hear it's gone well so far. Keep on top of the drugs regime and exercises, hope you recover quickly.

I'm amazed how small the ball was. Teeny tiny but fascinating I bet there's not many who can see they've seen their bones. They said it was buggered

Well done!

Hello, I was in hospital a few weeks ago with a brain condition, I went in through A&E there was a woman coughing real bad at the back of A&E and I over heard her in the next bay to me in A&E getting tested for Covid

I was also on a ward with 3 Covid positive patients, they where in side rooms but I was freaking out, I never caught coronavirus from being in there the hospital have all the precautions in place, I know it's hard but try not to worry I was the same I just wanted out and home ASAP
