Anyone able to get one privately?

Like the Scarlet Pimpernel round here.

I've been able to book one at the Lloyd's pharmacy at my local Sainsburys this morning. Had plenty of availability from the weekend onwards. Got mine booked for Monday morning.

Becoming increasingly more difficult, I had the pick of the bunch appointments when I booked mine, had to fit the Mr's in as and when.

GP is all out for the baby Hmm

My pharmacy has them for £12 (or free if you’re prescribed one).

I got mine at Tesco £9 and had it yesterday. Tried to book one for my brother, but there were none to be had. Boots told him they only book one month at a time £13.

Lloyds signed me up to let me know when they get stock in - Boots have got nothing for the foreseeable, Lindsay and Gilmour and Omnicare nothing unless you are on the NHS list.

The vulnerable kid is covered by the NHS, but I was hoping to get the siblings done privately.

Good to hear that there are some pockets around.

I usually get one at work, but paid in Boots yesterday - the lady told me they have closed bookings because it’s so busy. Because I am WFH I possibly didn’t need to bother, but I booked it as soon as they were available.

Irrelevant, but my arm is so painful. I get it every year and have never experienced this before!

notangelinajolie · 02/10/2020 00:24

Me and my DD paid for ours and had them at Tesco's last week. Very glad we booked in early as they are no longer offering the £9 service - it's just NHS only now.
I had the flu in 1999 and was very poorly but I have never had a flu jab. So after reading NHS advice that catching flu and corona at the same time would likely mean I would be more seriously ill I thought it was sensible to have one this year.

Had.mine done at Kamsons, a small pharmacy chain walk in (no appointment) on a Sunday morning £12.95 at www.kamsons.co.uk

I have managed to book one at Boots but have to wait until end of October, the waiting list was so long. They've now suspended bookings so I hope mine still goes ahead.....

I just turned up at the Tesco pharmacy counter a couple of days ago and the man said he would do one on me there and then when I said I hadn’t been able to book one online for myself (I was taking a younger sibling for hers). So he offered to do one on me while I was there, just had to fill out a quick form. Probably wasn’t meant to do that for me but it’s worth a try asking!
