My school corridors at lesson changeover time, with many students not wearing masks. It's very difficult to get through the crowds.

Appuskidu · 30/09/2020 20:47

School

runwithme · 30/09/2020 20:47

Margate- it was grim

Aragog · 30/09/2020 20:49

School - I teach in a 3 form intake infant school.

Outside of work:
Last Friday walking past Oxford circle tube station at around 10:15pm. During the day it was almost empty. As bars and restaurants closed the queues for the underground stations were immense. No one was doing anything wrong particularly it was just so busy and therefore no SDing at all.
Luckily our hotel was walking distance we could just walk by. We were there for a wedding.

MillicentMartha · 30/09/2020 20:50

Definitely school at lesson changeover. Even with a one way system and everyone wearing masks.

WhyNotMe40 · 30/09/2020 20:51

School (teacher)

DobbyTheHouseElk · 30/09/2020 20:53

National Trust place.

RuthW · 30/09/2020 20:54

Staff room at work. Probably about ten in there about a metre apart with half wearing masks.

islockdownoveryet · 30/09/2020 20:54

Asda on Sunday it was rammed and the congestion in the store as everyone was waiting to sanitise . I'd honestly rather wait outside until the congestion had moved on but as long as we wear a mask and put sanitizer on they can cram as many as they want in the shops now .

BeakyWinder · 30/09/2020 20:56

Blackpool on a Saturday evening to see the illuminations. One arcade was so packed it would have been bad without covid but it was horrendous, we walked in and back out. And I'm very relaxed about the virus generally speaking. There were long queues out of every restaurant, bar and chippy and the pavements were rammed.

St Andrews in early August!

aneres · 30/09/2020 20:57

@Comefromaway

For me Home Bargains - I walked out.

For Dh inset day at his college

For Dd college changeover & break times. Crowded corridors & no way to social distance and mixing of bubbles.

I did the same in Home Bargains.

Blenheim Salon Prive last weekend over 2000 people

CaptainCallisto · 30/09/2020 20:58

Whitby. FIL lives in a house at the end of one of the picturesque/touristy streets, and it was absolutely ridiculous. It's always heaving up there, but I've never seen it like this in the thirty+ years I've been going.

Eaumyword · 30/09/2020 21:01

The school I work in. The little ones don't understand and tend to come very close to talk to you, or tend to crowd in the common areas. However, some of the teaching staff are TERRIBLE and stand right at your shoulder, chatting away. I'm forever moving away politely. My boss stood right behind me to show me something on the PC (no mask.) I'd put mine on as I was really uncomfortable with the proximity. She seemed totally unfazed and I felt to be honest, she thought I was being a fuss pot.
She's also unbothered by sharing a phone, whereas I really don't want anyone using it other than me unless it's had a jolly good clean with antibac wipes.
I do feel my teaching colleagues in my particular school have got very blase and forgetful about distancing with adults. Sad

shinynewapple2020 · 30/09/2020 21:01

I went very briefly into a pub
whilst on holiday the other week where people were standing around the bar and the TV. No face mask or distancing . We left pretty quickly .

Every other pub / bar / restaurant I have been into has been fine, seating only and staff wearing visors I think the new rules enforcing this are a good idea .

keiratwiceknightly · 30/09/2020 21:04

School. Every day since sept 2nd.

Titsywoo · 30/09/2020 21:04

Ikea. Although there was a small queue outside, they count people in and the queues for the tills were very well done, you can't control what people do when inside and it gets very clogged up.

tulippa · 30/09/2020 21:06

A retro arcade game type place on August bank holiday. It was horrible. Staff said they weren't enforcing face masks because the person not wearing one would get fined not them!

MayFayre · 30/09/2020 21:09

Whipsnade Zoo. It was horrendous. Despite (supposedly) limiting numbers and having timed entry it was heaving and very few people were practicing social distancing. I know it’s all outside but it felt very unsafe indeed. And I’m someone who is quite chilled about the chances of catching the virus.

HairyFloppins · 30/09/2020 21:15

Liverpool at August bank holiday. Town was heaving and was packed for people turning up for a mini break to get pissed. Did not stay long.

My daughter's Home Bargains where she works can be pretty horrendous at times.

obviouslymarvellous · 30/09/2020 21:15

Blackpool zoo busiest it has ever been and it was supposed to be reduced numbers

whenwillthemadnessend · 30/09/2020 21:15

Aldi on a Sunday!! Never again.

Danglingmod · 30/09/2020 21:17

School.

I don't go anywhere else because I don't feel it's safe but very little choice about going to work.

Artus · 30/09/2020 21:18

Bakewell's during August, closely followed by Whitby east side
