We’ve been isolating while waiting for my DD’s test results and they’ve just come back positive. I’m shocked 😭 bu really worried too. She has epilepsy and mild cerebral palsy and I’m not sure what to expect. I don’t know anyone else who has COVID let alone their children 😭😭😭

We ve all had it - dS2 was snotty for a few days. DS1 had a sore throat and cough for a few days. Both much less active than normal for 2 weeks. I was exhausted for 3 weeks and had a 5 week headache. DH felt under the weather for 24 hours Hmm

No lasting effects and still have antibodies 6 months later.

OP I am glad it is mild for your DD, I am sure it will stay that way. I know two little girls who tested positive last week and just had mild cold symptoms, better now.

My children had it. Just low grade fever and sore throat for 2 days, then abit tired for a week. No after effects.

How are you OP and your DD .. 🌺

I’d be the same. Really worried, but I don’t think you need to be too worried.

Evidence seems to be that younger children fair much better than adults. Very few catch it, if they do they get it mildly and on the rare occasion they get it badly the chances of a fatality are ‘infinitesimally small’.

I agree with PP who said take extra good care of your own emotional well being. Flowers

My 3yo had it very mildly - runny nose, sore throat and a cough. She didn't even need calpol.
