Risk assessment to enter school

Hi everyone, hope you don’t mind me posting. I’m an independent (self employed) flute teacher who’s just had the great news that some of my schools will allow me in to teach, as long as I provide a risk assessment.
I had assumed each school would have their own risk assessment which I could just agree to, but I’ve been asked to provide my own.
I’ve had a look on google but can’t find anything specific, I’m not on social media and I’m a bit isolated - I wondered if anyone had any ideas of how to start, I’m really keen to go back to work but am rubbish at this kind of thing!

Ask a local music centre?

Wash hands on arrival/ sanitise
Wear a mask in public areas to get to teaching room
Where possible keep window open in teaching class
Keep a 1m distance from student if possible
Will isolate if have any symptoms

Do you normally have to touch the student and their instrument? I'm thinking assistance with finger placement.

Maybe you should wear gloves? Or washing hands before and after might be sufficient. Or using a santising spray on the flute at start of lesson.

Schools generally use the Government guidance document and go through each point and say how they as a school with the people in it will minimise risk.

Perhaps read through the school guidance - they may have a section with regards to music lessons, maybe a section for outside people coming into school to teach.

I found this document:

www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-coronavirus-covid-19/performing-arts#arts-5-3

Not specifically a school document but there is some stuff that may be relevant to the classes you teach such as cleaning instruments, not sharing etc . Anything useful and that applies to the service you offer you can add to risk assessment.

Perhaps visit some schools websites, some of them post their risk assessments, that will give you a general idea of layout, what to add etc.

State in RA that you won't go into school if have any symptoms, if told to isolate by track and trace, if family have symptoms (unless negative test result) etc etc
That will leave establishment immediately if feel unwell on day.
Wash hands on arrival and between classes
Get children to wash hands/sanitise at beginning of class.
No shared equipment.
My child has to drop instrument off first thing, it's cleaned and set up early.. Only 2 children per lesson

With students practicing wind instruments I would invest in a box of N95 masks for myself or whatever the UK equivalent is.
