Will you be going to your office in lockdown?

That’s a no from me! If it’s unsafe enough to be under lockdown conditions, I shan’t be taking a bus to work and sitting in an office all day.

Nah. We're all WFH till Jan at least. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't break our leases. Turns out we don't need acres of rented space miles from our homes in order to look at screens all day. Whodathunkit.

I work in an early years centre/nursery. We can’t close or parents can’t work. We will be open and carrying on as normal.

@Hollyhead

Yeah I will, I’ve just gone back in full time, lots still wfh so feels sensible. Workplace has taken distancing/hygiene very seriously.

I’m less productive at home by a long shot and it’s also been awful for my mental health.

This exactly. I've heard this from lots of people. It is a great excuse as far as I can tell.

Aside from a lockdown, as colder weather roles in and heating and electric bills start to rise exponentially I wonder if people might have a change of heart!

never stopped! NHS clinician - have an office (use for admin), but also on wards and doing patient home visits. Have been doing all along, and no intention of stopping!!

Have I missed something, we had lockdown and it's ended, do you mean if an area has local restrictions? I havent missed an announcement overnight have I?

I would still go to work if it was open and they needed me too, I don't go by public transport but the office part wouldn't suddenly become any more rsisky.

HoneyBee03 · 19/09/2020 08:33

Yes definitely, I think I'd lose my job if I just told my boss that I'm not going in. All the while the government are saying we can be in the workplace, our office is full. Although if someone should be shielding I know they'd allow WFH.

daisypond · 19/09/2020 08:37

So, OP, are you going to resign your job? Is that what you mean?

Waxonwaxoff0 · 19/09/2020 08:37

I can't do my job from home so yes. My biggest concern is school closing, not going into the office.
