Would you get a test for 3 coughs

My DS has a snotty nose, yellow snot and has coughed once when he woke up, again mid morning and just now. Snot is streaming. He has had a cold for a few days. I have been with him all day. He starts reception on Monday or not

I’ve noticed at home that we all seem to cough once or twice a few days a day, after eating or whatever. We’d not even have noticed it before. If everybody gets tested after literally six coughs in a day, the system really will grind to a halt.
