How do we define a bubble

We are currently waiting on the test results for DD so we are all isolating. FIL lives on his own but he comes to us a few times a week for tea and we often pop round to see him. He goes out a few times a week to the club and does his own shopping. We social distance from him when we see him.

We can’t decide if he is in a bubble with us and if he should isolate until dd’s results come back. I am thinking not because of that fact he goes out and we social distance from each other.

He is not in a bubble with you if you always socially distance. You could potentially form a support bubble with him, so long as neither you or him were in a support bubble with anyone else.

What Hampstead said is right... I give my friend hugs so she is in my bubble.
