Never would I. I have good neighbours and I belive if they were to break the rules they would have good reason and common sense.
It's not my business.
Was browsing on the local paper page. And the 1st 2 comments pages were this. 150 odd comments and saw very few saying they would. Surely that's just gonna stir up trouble

Genuine question, but why would you only notice your neighbours?

Breaches couid occur in all sorts of places, and wouldn't they be more obvios when you're out and about?

Moondust001 · 15/09/2020 21:49

If I spot any government ministers or advisors breaking the rules, I shall report it in a second - probably to every news outlet I can find. Anyone seen Dominic recently?

I assume the idea is you're more likely to be aware of the number of people going into a house if you're within viewing distance for an extended period. That's for most people is more likely to happen when they're at home than elsewhere. Massive parties with dozens of people might be just as obvious to a passerby as a neighbour, but most breaches are going to be a couple of extra people at a family meal rather than a rave.
kittenpeak · 15/09/2020 22:27

I personally wouldn't. Firstly I think it's petty. Secondly, and it's not worth falling out over. Thirdly, and some might think I'm mad, if it gets nasty and you've actually reported it, you don't want to have to declare it when you sell your house....

kittenpeak · 15/09/2020 22:28

I personally find it terrifying they're allowing us to report people. There are some nasty people out there who will report people for breaking rules when they haven't.

Willyoujustbequiet · 16/09/2020 00:24

If I was certain of them breaking the rules then yes I would.

I've known people who have died of and former NHS colleagues who nearly have. Why the hell should they risk their lives for some idiots who think they are above the law.

It’s nigh on unenforceable, just like everything else that’s been done.

Comes down to self governance in the end, and very broadly speaking, the higher the death risk, the greater the compliance.

Drip fed herd immunity the most likely outcome from where i’m sitting so if other people want to get together & spread the love to speed that up a bit that’s fine by me so no I won’t be snitching.

I wonder how people would know, I think my neighbour is in a bubble with one of her children, but I have no idea how big that family is, so if they all rock on round, they could be a massive family of 10 but all in one bubble. I would not have a clue, are people that involved in their neighbours life?

As someone else has posted, the only people I really care about are the politicians and Cummings. I have no doubt someone is going to break the rules before the month is out
