Ok, so I've been back at my job for 3 weeks.

But in the last few days have been sent to my unit and 2 others.
I'm not usually mobile, but because of a lack of work for me at my unit I've been sent to help at others.

My normal unit is getting twitchy because I'm all over the place.
I don't really want to be in and out of other units.

So, flexible furlough...how does it work or not?
I've attempted to read up on it, but I'm not clear on any of it.

Could anyone explain it to a numpty please and if I can request it?

As I understand flexible furlough means that if you have been on furlough and your employer only has enough work for you to do part of your normal hours per week, (lets say 20 our of 35) you get full pay and the employer can claim furlough for the 15 hours you can't work because there is not enough work. You can only be on Flexible Furlough if you have already been furloughed - its a way of bringing people back to full time work while the economy recovers.

Ok , thanks.

So as they've said to my line manager I'm only need for half my normal hours, reason why I being sent all over the place, I could ask for the other half to be flexi furloughed and be paid 100% wages?

And just do my half at my usual unit?

Is that right?

The hours you are furloughed only need to be paid at 80% with any worked hours paid at your normal hourly rate.

Your employer has no obligation to furlough you for any of your hours & if there is work for you to do at other sites then there is no real reason for you to be furloughed & your employer claiming tax payer money to cover the this.

@InvisibleToEveryon check your contract of employment - if there is a section in there saying that you may be required to work at other locations -or words to that effect- and you've signed the contract or by continuing to work there have been deemed to accept the terms and conditions then I don't think you can do anything.
