if dd is ordered to isolate because of positive test in her class. Both are in same school different year groups.

As I understand it (I'm a TA) siblings in non isolating classes can attend. UNLESS your isolating child shows symptoms.

Augustbreeze · 13/09/2020 15:14

Yup only the contacts (ie in the class or year group bubble) need to isolate.

NoSquirrels · 13/09/2020 15:16

Yes.

Only the ‘contact’ child has to isolate. All other members of the household are free to go to school/work/leave the house.

Situation only changes if your child shows symptoms themselves.

justanotherneighinparadise · 13/09/2020 15:17

And what happens to DD during drop off your if what I’ve read on other threads is correct that isolation is not being able to leave the house?

covidmonkey · 13/09/2020 15:20

We live near the school and ds walks to school alone most of the way. Dd can stay at home 5 mins that it takes me to walk to traffic lights and back.

@justanotherneighinparadise good question....

FlamingoorPigeon · 13/09/2020 17:25

If you have problems dropping collecting due to another child isolating then speak to your school.
I know the school I work at has offered for the family support worker to collect children within walking distance with isolating siblings if necessary. I imagine this will change if have too many and at the moment we are fully open so this hasn't been tested.

Yep your son is ok unless your daughter develops symptoms.
