In your opinion
I would say a few months ago having family members around.

Self isolation if I hd to do it, but that hasn't actually affected me... hardly anyone I know has had to SI.

One that has affected me is Quarantine most countries; my parents are in a country with its own 2 week rules. So I'd have to deal with 2 weeks there to go there, & 2 weeks on return. Not gonna be able to see them in person until most everyone is vaccinated in both of our countries.

Social distancing from family members. Not for me, but for my 3 year old. Three year olds want to play with people, meeting over zoom or sitting down for a socially distanced chat just doesnt cut it.

@Torvean32

Being screwed over by those who dont follow the rules.

We would be closer to normality if it wasn't for them.

Whenever we open up restrictions, there will be a rise in cases. The vast majority of people are following the guidelines the vast majority of the time. It is unrealistic to expect 100% compliance. It's not their fault that the guidance is contradictory and doesnt make sense. Let's blame the government, not each other.

I was disappointed not to be able to go to the holiday cottage we had booked for May half term, and would have liked to go abroad over the summer.
Ill miss the usual christmas stuff like carol services and work nights out.
My kids are only back at school half time ( sixth form) which is hard for them, and Im not sure what to do for DDs 18th.
Weve met up with my parents a few times, but im a bit more nervous of arranging anything now the kids are back at school and thr numbers are going up.

I guess i should add DD1 choosing universities without being able to visit any of them, and DD2 missing GCSEs.

Hardest was not being allowed out of the house other than for one hour and gyms shut.

The loneliness of the early phase when I couldn't see my parents because I was taking care of my grandmother, and my sister who is a nurse lives at home with my parents, we were all too worried about her being a carrier to risk infecting my gran. I don't have a circle of friends either so was just me and DS. Masks were initially a low point because my specs kept fogging up, but I found great masks that stop that happening, and are comfortable and cute, so not so fussed about that.
