Moon programme - negative test?

I thought a negative test didn't mean you didn't have the virus, that you had to wait 14 days in case it developed? So if they're saying they are for instance letting people into a theatre who test negative on the day, it doesn't necessarily mean you are not 'about' to get the virus? Or am I wrong?

I wouldn't worry about that, the technology and infrastructure does not exist and quite frankly I doubt it'll happen, it's just Johnson chatting shit again.

I don’t think you are wrong but I see it as a way of reducing risk. It would pick up asymptomatic cases and help keep case numbers down while helping to open up parts of the economy that are struggling. It would also me a much improved way of testing school children and helping to keep schools open. My kids have their temperature checked every day when they arrive at the school gate. Everyone knows it is not a full proof way of preventing the virus getting into the school but it is a measure to reduce risk (and something that my DCs school has implemented as part of their own risk assessment).
