DH and I were talking about this. It's already clear that just as Zoom became a household name almost overnight, other companies and services will do well as a result of this pandemic.
New things may also spring up to maximise opportunities.

Our thoughts were:

What will do well:

  • sheds/garden rooms/home office buildings
  • bikes (especially e bikes)
  • everything related to outdoor garden spaces - furniture/ fire pits/ awnings/heaters
  • warm outdoor clothing (much more sitting outside)
  • apps to make booking and collecting check-ins etc easier
  • small groups organised outdoor activities - walking/sports/fitness
  • streaming services and online entertainment
  • home delivery 'nights in' e.g. cocktails/ meals etc
  • online fitness classes

Greenhouse suppliers

I tried to order one from two different companies. One had a 10 month waiting list, the other 18 months!

Sofa stores apparently because we are all spending more time at home sitting on them!
