Where do the rules clarify number of households permitted to meet inside from Monday? (Subject to max of 6)

I can't believe I'm asking as have always felt rules were reasonably easy to understand but actually on this occasion I can't find it clarified anywhere on gov page for guidance published on 9th Sept.

It clearly states that from 14th only groups of up to 6 may meet up inside or outside. It describes the exception for a bubble ie if you are in a bubble that brings you to 7 under the previous rules that is permitted but of course you can't meet with any other people while in that 7.

But it's completely silent on household numbers whereas before it specified only two households inside (at that time of any number of individuals)

I've heard lots of people state that now multiple households can meet inside provided the total number doesn't exceed 6, and I've seen it reported on news websites, but where does the government clarify this?

@EarlyAMwakeups

I do agree with you btw but am surprised it hasn't been categorically stated. It would be easy to say "from Monday, only groups of up to 6 people may meet inside or outside. It doesn't matter anymore how many households they come from"
Maybe when the legislation is introduced on Monday it will have this clarification.

They said exactly that in the briefing last night

I thought they were quite clear, no more than six in a private dwelling, holiday cottage, outdoor venue etc.

That's great, thanks @lancashirelady ! Posted 30 mins ago I see

@EDSGFC. thanks, I didn't see the briefing so was using the .gov pages that were posted on first pages which DON'T specify it. Maybe there's a transcript of the briefing somewhere but anyway I think the BBC news link is helpful enough

I wasn't really disputing it but just wanted to see it categorically stated since as I say it's causing confusion among friends who think I'm wanting to break the rules

No visits to the Reece Mogg household then mum dad 6 kids and nanny.
Presumably also no visits to the Cambridge household as well mum dad 3 kids and nanny.
Doesn't seem to matter how big your palace is it's all the same even if you can socially distance into different wings.

Scotland have specified 6 people and 2 households max

Does Reece Mogg have a live in nanny or live out? Could be interesting if the nanny does not live with them (in my experience most nannies do not live with their employers) as then a member of their household and should not be going to work to a workplace which has an active covid case.
