I think Chris Witty has basically said the 6 people rule will last months so I’m assuming families are going to have very small Christmas’s this year. In a way it will be so much more relaxing. I won’t be cooking a big lunch for me and two kids.

So a glut of enormous turkeys and a shortage of small ones?

There is nothing wrong with Xmas on a small scale. After many big family xmass in the past we ve had immediate family ones just the three or four of us which are good.I work most of Xmas anyway so I would be grateful to get the day off.

With schools and offices open and rates shooting up I just want to get my own family safely to Christmas. If I can look at my high risk and also a teacher husband and two healthy kids over the turkey on a quiet Christmas day I will count myself very lucky.
