Hi

I have been reading about 'Long Covid' and wanted to get an idea of how many covid sufferers in the UK could be classified as long haul? I can't find it anywhere.

Thanks

Whether Covid actually causes more of these sorts of issues than do other viruses (particularly flu-type things) is, I think, going to be impossible to find out for a while - we are currently hyper-aware of Covid, while in other instances of post-viral syndromes the patient may not even remember having had a viral infection or may not make the connection. That's going to skew the numbers.

Clearly Covid can cause nasty issues in at least the medium term. Anecdotally (from reading various people's accounts of it) recovering properly from the initial bout and not pushing oneself too hard too soon seems to help. But hopefully we're now moving away from the 'drag yourself nto work unless you're actually dead' culture anyway.
