The situation in Birmingham

It’s been looking very worrying in Birmingham over the last few days. As of today it’s got the 3rd highest number of cases per 100k, with 65.1 (only Bolton and Bradford are ahead). On Friday it was number 17 in the Local Authority list so a very steep rise.

Does anyone know if there’s a specific cluster triggering this?

And still London or any London Boroughs still not in the top 10?

@Alex50
No tests = no cases...
The test shortage seems particularly acute when it comes to home tests. London has a high number of non drivers.

Also, how many heart attacks, strokes, and pneumonia cases are currently being seen at London hospitals?

Birmingham is always going to be at the top though, its a large city, densly populated and with a lot of deprivation in certain areas.

Where birmingham is on the list doesnt really say anything, the fact cases are rising and the number of cases is whats concerning.

Both my children's schools now have cases. I'm really concerned we will enter a cycle of kids repeatedly off school while those in other parts of the country will continue to get an in school education.

I'm on another thread where some areas have had 0-5 cases in the last week, whereas Birmingham has had more than 1,000.

Should we close the pubs and restaurants and gyms in Bham?
