I'd like to keep an eye on my local area so that any lockdown are not completely out of the blue.

Sorry if this has already been pointed out, I couldn't find the right place. Thank you

Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can find localised figures for Wales? Does the Welsh government publish something equivalent to the map published for England with figures for quite small local areas?

Muchtoomuchtodo · 08/09/2020 22:17

@LilyPond2 you can found daily updates here

Or follow @LloydCymru on Twitter. He’s a 16 year old who gives a great summary on a daily basis

@Muchtoomuchtodo Thank you. The England figures now get broken down by quite small areas. Was hoping there might be something similar for Wales, but appears not.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 09/09/2020 10:09

@LilyPond2, they’re broken down into counties on both of those links.
The Zoe app also gives regional data

@BoreOfWhabylon and @CrunchyCarrot

You are so welcome! So glad it helps!

Maybe I’m being over simplistic but if the gov is publishing total tests per day and total positives per day, isn’t that where the % positives comes from?

ceeveebee · 09/09/2020 10:40

My local council publishes cases, hospitalisation, hospital deaths and care home deaths for each local authority and they update it nightly. The cases seem to reconcile with the rates per 100,000 that are used to make lockdown decisions (ignore the most recent 3 days). If yo click on the little squares icon on the right of each screen you can see the data behind the charts

(Sorry, doesn’t cover hospitalisations)

@littleowl1

Just want to say thanks setting up covid messenger, I've been signed up for a little while now, it's been very helpful and reassuring to be able to see those figures easily.
