DH works away for work (leaves Monday morning home Friday night.) he’s being tested for Covid every 2 days at work. Someone in his “bubble” at work tested positive yesterday and was sent home. Last time DH was tested was Thursday. We had a toddler and a 4 Month old.
I have the option to stay at my parents with the kids for the weekend as they live down the road incase DH has caught the virus from co worker. This would obviously mean he couldn’t see the kids for 2 weeks. Is that overkill? Or is it sensible? I’m conflicted. His job is not an office job and he’s been in contact with coworker briefly and handled equipment that coworker has.

Decided to stay separated this weekend. Thank you for opinions :) yes he’s at leavesden.
I know it’s crazy to me that they get tested more than nhs staff, doesn’t make sense & is incredibly unfair. Horrible money driven world we live in!!
And his work haven’t said the bubble need to isolate 🤷🏼‍♀️ Bubbles are lost on me too.

That’s the right decision.
You only test positive when you make enough of the virus to start shedding. He could have a contact with the case and then yet negative every day til day 13 and then test positive on day 14. Which is why it’s stupid saying people with a negative test the day after contact can go back to work, incubation takes time!

Out of interest do you know where the tests are processed? There are so many threads about not enough testing capacity and I'm wondering if what I'm guessing are 100s if not 1000s of tests per week are being done for no clinical reason.

I'm sure the studio is paying so not a question about the cost.

Hope you all stay well - but if he was in touch with someone 48 hrs before they tested positive he needs to isolate for 14 days irrespective of his negative test - you can find this on the nhs website - his work should instruct the bubble not to work - it's their social responsibility
