I live in Manchester and I have used the tram once. It was actually mostly empty even though it was a usually busy time. I will avoid it as much as possible though as the lack of ventilation and wearing a mask made me very travel sick

I usually take public transport to work but will be driving when I return to the office. Parking charges are expensive but if I only return 2 days a week and WFH the rest, its affordable.

No. I haven't used public transport since late February - hearing so many people say no one wears a mask on the bus or train and there's very little social distancing.

I'm convinced I used to catch most of my winter colds on public transport as I started working from home full time in 2019 and haven't been ill once since. So by the same logic I'm definitely avoiding public transport too.

No, you are relying on other people to stick to distancing rule = impossible, wearing a mask = seems to be getting out of fashion around here! Being honest about symptoms.

yes I would use it. I would still use public transport if busy but obviously not if I had environment as low priority or was afraid of virus.

I'm avoiding public transport for that reason while you have to wear masks. A short journey maybe but then i'd rather just walk.

I'm not against the masks being enforced or required but it'd make me sick.

I have to use buses. Today I've been on a 'proper' bus journey for the first time in six months - I've been using the bus to get to and from the shops (about 10-15min journey) since early July, two or three times a week. Today's journey was to a nearby town and took 45 minutes. It was so lovely to have a change of scenery and it's done me the world of good.

I don't wear a mask but most people do. The buses have got busier and busier in the last few weeks, possibly as people gain.
confidence. The infection rate is quite low where I am (about 11 in 100,000) - if it were to climb concerningly I'd consider stopping using transport again. But as I don't drive (neither does DH) and I'm disabled it's a necessity. It was awful, being unable to use buses for almost 4 months, with no other transport and unable to walk far.
