If a partner has tested positive and you self isolate what proof does your employer need?

Anyone advise on this...

Work colleague is refusing to provide evidence. Her partner tested positive so she self-isolated for 14 days. The partner has now been retested and tested negative. Work think this is untrue due to past untruths with this person and as she could be paid if untrue will be defrauding the company - they have asked for proof that the partner tested positive but she is unwilling to give it.

It is causing a lot of friction in the office ...is she within her rights not to provide proof?

She should have got a self isolation note from the NHS website

Ummm well if she hasn't registered and is self certifing for 7 days it's the latter 7 days all she needs to do is show a copy of her partners certificate but again Im guessing it is classed as confidential so has every right not to show it
