Does this sound like I have it?

I have got a really really heavy cold, which definitely feels like just a bad cold. I feel like my whole head is made of snot.

However, I also have a really high temperature. About 39 when the paracetamol run out. I've never had a fever with a cold before.

No sore throat but I have a cracking headache. My asthma has flared up a little bit I'm not coughing much.

I didn't think you got a cold with covid-19? But the fever is making me wonder.

Just wondering if anyone else had a heavy cold and tested positive?

I had it in March, I was tested here in Germany, and I had a cold also. I also had a high fever, sore throat and cough too.

You have a high temperature. Therefore you should test. I've had covid and my symptoms included typical 'cold' ones such as runny nose/sore throat but I also had a high fever.

You need to get tested. If it was a bog standard cold I don’t think you’d have a high temp.

I think I read that cold symptoms (congestion, runny nose) occur in approximately 20% of cases

Regardless of what it turns out to be, I hope you feel better soon.

My husband had a cold and cough last week and a temperature and was negative for Covid.

There are still lots of other conditions out there but we have a test for Covid, so we might as well test. Hope you're feeling better op

I’ve just had a shocker of a cold. I was a snotty mess. I didn’t test though as I didn’t have a fever, cough or loss of smell/taste.. I felt grim though & was at home feeling miserable for 7 days anyway. But my fam didn’t isolate. I’ve def had fevers with colds in the past.. the really bad ones but I think as an adult with a temp you should probs test. I’m not for testing cos you’ve got a headache. I think we need to follow the guidelines or we’ll run out of tests & results will be delayed. But you have one of the 3 main symptoms so ..
