Safe wfh post or post in an after-school club?

So currently wfh on long term basis for the next year with the likelihood of the office closing completely
Obviously this is as safe as it gets for me regarding Covid. But I hate wfh and have just so isolated since March.
I know the job situation isn't great and I probably should be grateful to just have a job.
But ..... I've been offered a post in an after-school club. Same hours same pay as now but obviously more interaction with others so potentially more risk?
Am I mad to take the job in after-school?

How much job security would you have? Is it public sector or would you lose your new job if things get bad again?

I think people should reduce overall risk but someone's got to do the job. So by doing it you only increase personal risk which I don't bat much of an eyelid to. I say take it. Don't base the decision on covid. It will be good for your well-being.

Hmm... I think after school clubs are going to be the first childcare settings to get thrown under a bus if infections rise. Especially if there are kids from a mix of schools or no space to segregate year groups. I wouldn't.

OP, are you regularly in close contact with any family members who are particularly vulnerable to Covid?

I would continue with the current job. It's safe and from your post it seems like it's a stable job atleast for now. After-school clubs will be the first to shut down as the infections rise. Also, you are at a higher risk interacting with so many children everyday. I understand that someone needs to do the job. But it need not be you, since you already have a job.
I know it can be isolating working from home. If your current job has the same hours as after school club, then that means you might have some time free for yourself. I recommend going out and meeting your friends/family (in a safe and recommended way).
