So I have to isolate if my baby has a temperature?

My DS is 1 (and 1 month) he had a high temperature in the night - 37.9. He is irritated and a bit poorly but I'm not too worried.

Do I have to isolate for 2 weeks now? Are the rules the same for a baby? I assume so but not sure.

Has he had his 1 year old baby imms recently? Antibodies for each component of the MMR start producing at a different time, up to 3 weeks, which can cause fever.

I'd say go with your common sense on this one. Our last tests were 5 days and 6 days turnaround (postal test as can't get to drive in).

Common sense usually means 'send them in because I CBA to get a test' it seems

Kitcat122 · 27/08/2020 18:20

I think common sense especially with very young children.

All these ones saying use common sense, it’s probably not Covid. You are the reason we need so many restrictions. For the foreseeable, any temps and precautions should be taken until a test is done. Anything else is just laziness.
