Can someone help me find these answers?

I'm due to give birth to my first baby in October. My parents live in America and are desperate to come over to meet their first grandchild. I've been trying to find the answers to the below questions but I'm finding the gov website really convoluted and the embassy was absolutely useless. I'm wondering if someone knows the answer to the below?

*If they are flying to Leeds (for example) but have a layover in Heathrow, are they able to make the connecting flight to Leeds or are they expected to quarantine in London? They wouldn't actually be leaving the airport so I would assume it's fine?

*Are you allowed to quarantine in an Airbnb? From what I can find, you cannot self-isolate with symptoms but if you're just quarantining, it's fine?

Still undecided if it's happening at all, but it would help clear some things up.

If anyone knows or fancies doing some research, it would be great. Thank you!

My understanding is that on arrival in England the requirement is to travel directly to the address you've specified on the passenger locator form as the address where you will be self-isolating. Therefore, in your example, assuming that taking a flight to Leeds was a reasonably direct way of getting to the address specified on the passenger locator form, I think that would be fine.

Re Airbnb, the regulations allow you to self-isolate in a hotel, B&B or other suitable place. I can't see why a self-contained Airbnb wouldn't be suitable. I can see that if you were required to share facilities with the host then the Airbnb accommodation might not be regarded as suitable.
