I feel fairly ok about dd
somehow,
less worried than in March when most students came home.

Delighted DD going back to share a house with her friends. Far more fun than living at home when you are nearly 20. They know that they will create a new household so if any restrictions come in about mixing households she won’t be able to come home. I’m sure they will still have parties etc especially as clubs are closed but they have to accept the consequences if they break the rules.

Im dreading it, we live in a large university town that Has over 20k students, because the students all packed up and went home in March the area has had a really low number of cases and deaths which if and when they return is bound to go up.

Covid rates have been highest in the urban centres of the U.K.. look at the map showing infections and deaths and the worst areas are London up into Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and around Newcastle. All of these areas have massive student populations probably 60,000 minimum in each - who went home in March.

The death rates in these areas were high due to population density, social deprivation and higher numbers in the BAME population. It wasn’t anything to do with the students as they’d also gone.
