Have we actually got any info on whether Covid can live in swimming pool water that is properly chlorinated? I've read that the chlorine inactivates the virus is this true?

Yes chlorine kills it.
That is why tap water is safe, too.

I think the risk is the changing rooms, not the pool. But the changing room risk should be manageable.

I hope so anyway - one of mine loves swimming and we hope swim club will restart!

Yes the chlorine is supposed to kill it - I've heard a few doctors/scientists say this when being interviewed on the tv or radio.

DD and I went swimming last week (lesson) . At our pool (council) they had numbered all the changing rooms. We were given our own numbered changing room to use before and after the lesson, no one else used it during that time and then it was fully cleaned afterwards. The same was with the locker. The showers were closed.

It felt really safe and we are back there tomorrow.
