@threecats333

You do know they won't be socially distancing at secondary school in September so seems pointless to stop them meeting when they are going to be stuck int the same room as each other for 7 hours a day.
And this why schools will shut fast in September - people won't distance now, cases will be higher, so school will be shut very quickly.

People are so frustratingly self-defeating!

My son is annoyed with some of the big parties because he wants to get back to normal and big parties just put everything back even more. He meets up with friends outside from time to time - whenever he wants. No way would I allow him to go to a sleepover and yes he's nearly 18 but while he's under my roof and all that. But he's not stupid enough to want to go to one.

My DD3 had her 18th birthday party a couple of weeks ago. Half a dozen of her friends in our garden and yes, one did stay over. All were allowed to use our downstairs toilet.

They'll be off to uni fairly soon and I highly doubt that social distancing will be high on the agenda there during freshers fortnight.

If anyone wants to shoot me then feel free. They had all been careful for all of lockdown and they let their hair down. Everyone was happier for it and nobody has become ill.

I feel sad for the younger people who are trying to do the right thing while their peers just stick two fingers up and do what they want.

We are asthmatic so they are sticking to the rules but I worry how friendships will be affected when schools resume as my teens have missed out on these shared mass gathering

Would they want to be friends with such irresponsible selfish twats anyway?
