Blisters

My DP has developed tiny fluid filled blisters on his arm. Several small clusters but no symptoms of Covid at all. Have tried Dr Google which seems to indicate that rashes have been indicated in some cases. He's just looked at me as if I have two heads when I suggested he might need to get a test. Has anyone else had blisters as a symptom? Thank you

Do you have a garden, have you been walking past high vegetation, likely to be a chemical burn from euphorbia or somesuch?

Hi FlibbertyGiblets yes we have a garden but hardly anything in it! Blisters seem to be spreading down his arm as we speak

Any in his mouth on hands or feet. Wondering if hand foot and mouth?

Shingles?

myoho · 01/08/2020 15:21

None on his mouth/hands/feet....just his arm.

We did wonder shingles but did read that rash usually on chest and/or stomach and sometimes face, eyes or genitals. Not out of the question though.

He has said if it's still there on Monday he'll contact the GP. NHS Direct online doesn't appear bothered by a rash as it's not one of the symptoms on the online checker.

I'm usually very blase about illness and have a wait and see attitude but I work with incredibly vulnerable people so just a bit worried.

This piece from the Zoe app people includes photos illustrating rashes associated with Covid. Given that you work with very vulnerable people, I think your DP should definitely get tested.

Thank you LilyPond2 It's odd because I have that app which mentions about rashes, yet when I put it in as a symptom for him doesn't suggest he gets a test. Maybe they only suggest a test if you have have other symptoms.

I think if it's still there tomorrow I will suggest he gets a test donw.

He should get a test, I just have. even thought haven't got what the NHS calls "main" symptoms. Other countries recognise many more symptoms.

When you book it asks you have you got symptoms, and then if you currently have one of the main symptoms, to which you can answer No and still get a test.

I had blisters prior to getting chicken pox?
