What are town centres and shops like where you are?

Is the government looking at how quiet some areas of London are thinking/assuming this is being replicated across the country?

I went to a local retail park yesterday morning for some DIY stuff thinking it would be quieter than the weekend but the car park was pretty much full! It was just like any normal Saturday (on a Monday!) I was just really surprised given reports that people are reluctant to get back to the shops.
The city centre seems to be busy too.
Is it like this where you are?

We drove from Central London through North London to the M1 yesterday. “High streets” in local areas were packed! Social distancing looked impossible and only half the people had masks on. The other half didn’t, although they probably put them on to go in shops.

I live in a major city in the north of England, it's really quiet, far fewer people around during the day. I worked late yesterday and headed home about 8.30, the city centre was practically deserted; I saw two other people. It was quite creepy.

Touristy town in Norfolk, it’s busy. Not as busy as this time last year though. There is a crazy one way system for pedestrians that doesn’t work and a lot of visitors who just stand in the pavement and block it up (which is normal but even more annoying at the moment).

@Qasd

The centre of my London surburb is reasonably busy the actual centre of London still feels like a ghost town!
The thing with central London is it's usually full with tourists who aren't there at the moment and empty offices in the City. Away from the centre is busy because that's where people live, people more sticking to their own immediate area, rather than spending half an hour on a stuffy tube train with a mask on to go somewhere that'll be full of restrictions anyway.
