Any point in seeing GP?

I had Covid 19 at the end of March. This was only confirmed recently with an antibody test.

4 months after having the virus I am still exhausted all the time, getting out of breath easily, and my heart rate goes up a lot at the slightest amount of exercise. Admittedly I am overweight and not been doing a lot of exercise over lockdown but these symptoms are unusual for me.
I’ve also still got problems with my sense of smell and taste - ongoing parosmia for the last 6 or 7 weeks which is showing no signs of getting better...

I keep having to take deep breaths as I don’t feel like my lungs are full enough.

Seeing a doctor at the moment is a proper mission and I’m not sure there is much point, I think these are all symptoms still hanging around after Covid. But DH keeps suggesting I try and get an appointment - I think he is worried about me (he had it too but doesnt seem to have had any lasting effects)

I’m thinking once I can get back to the gym my fitness will improve again - perhaps I should give it a couple more months 🤷🏼‍♀️

Organise a telephone appointment with your gp

There are quite a few posters on here who have had similar problems OP. I don’t know if any of them have had any joy with their GP. I would try and get a phone appointment then at least you are on their radar.

Arrange a telephone consultation with your GP. It's recognised that CV can have long lasting effects, and there are specialist post-COVID clinics set up for people that need them.
