Disposable masks for older kids/young teens?

Any you'd recommend? We have plenty of washable face coverings for now but I'm thinking ahead to if we decide to go away and take a plane or train, we may get through a fair few in one day travelling if you factor in needing to eat and drink so disposable will be easier.

DD is 12 and I'd say perhaps is slightly smaller face wise than many other kids her age.

Any ideas?

I got kids ones in Gap for my 11 year old. They fit her well but might be too small for your DD.

Worst are they disposable?

Supermarkets sell disposables and so do chemists. Think they're just 1 size only though

GFqueen · 22/07/2020 20:14

B and M has disposable masks for children. No idea about sizes though!

Bonkerz · 22/07/2020 20:17

You can buy spray that kills bacteria and viruses. We use that regularly when out so fabric masks remain safe

GFqueen · 22/07/2020 20:24

I'm sure you shouldn't spray your mask and then inhale those nasty chemicals! Spray and then put in a plastic bag to wash later.

They’re not disposable but 3 in a pack for £12.99 so I figured that wasn’t too bad and would allow us to always have a clean one!

HandsOffMyRights · 22/07/2020 20:49

I bought a pack of 4 disposables from Asda.

They are too big for my 14 year old.
They are too big for me.
One size, fine if you are a man Angry

my dc use cycling bandanas like these

SandieCheeks · 22/07/2020 21:00

Me and my 9 year old have used standard disposables - I just tie a knot in the elastic each side to make them fit.

My DD and DS 11 use normal sized disposable mask but twisted near the ear to make them shorter x

Thanks all, may have a go at fiddling with the loops on standard ones like some have suggested
