Holidaying within the UK

I know hotels are open again, but what are people's thoughts on going on holiday currently? Too soon or ok? I'd like a few days away somewhere by train. Somewhere beachy or with countryside. I don't plan to hang out for hours on the beach or sit in restaurants for ages, just mostly wander around outside and have some walks etc.
After 4 months stuck in a town centre apartment I'm going a bit loopy.

We are going camping. I am taking a counter top fridge and freezer Already fully stocked with food and our own toilet so I’m happy to go it’s all our own stuff a proper home from home but I get a different view and different walks.

Typing this in a hotel room in the UK! It’s so lovely to be away from home. We’ve been here many times before and the only changes are that the reception desk now has a Perspex screen and breakfast will be room service only (hooray!). All these things really depend on your own risk appetite and circumstances. We live in a very low Covid area and have come to a very low Covid area. We will take all the usual precautions re hand washing etc but don’t feel at any risk just because we are in a hotel IYSWIM

Tourists are back in North Wales. There are so many, that if you come, no one will even notice you.

I had to take my son by train to London to visit family. The train was quiet with compulsory reservations which meant everyone was spaced out. Also went to a rural cottage where the owner says they rotate items and steam clean furniture. Self catered so didn’t need to eat out. The only downside was earlier check out time so they could deep clean. Both times felt very safe if you avoid peak times and seek out less popular walks etc London was eerily quiet and lots of extra cycle lanes etc

We've been away for a weekend already and are going camping for two weeks from next weekend. We'll be using the on-site facilities and doing touristy things, meals out, etc,. Will wash hands and be sensible but have no worries about it.
