From the BBC; detailed document doesn't seem to be on Gov. yet but hopefully later...

"-Outdoor pools will be able to re-open on 11 July
-Indoor gyms, swimming pools and sports facilities will then be able to re-open from 25 July
-Grassroots sport will be able to return from this coming weekend, beginning with cricket (other sports will follow)
-Outdoor theatres will be able to start up from Saturday

  • Small pilots of indoor performances with socially distanced audiences will also take place to help work out the best way to get them up and running
From Monday 13 June, beauticians, tattooists, spas, tanning salons and other close contact services can reopen "subject to some restrictions on particularly high-risk services" "

First in queue at local lido!

So apart from keeping 1 metre away from people, having to wear a face mask on the bus and in the hairdressers - it’s pretty much over? For now?

torydeathdrug · 09/07/2020 17:39

I'm hope it's recreational swimming for children, not just lane swimming for adults. And I hope that my children will be able to go back to their theatre groups at some point.

I wonder what the "particularly high-risk services" are? I want my botox!

I am looking forward to getting my nails done and supporting my local self employed nail technician! This has been a really hard time for her.

I would settle for swimming lessons back.....think it will start with lanes for adults

AdamFleming on twitter tried to delve into details & has asked about the required air filtration systems - are they realistic. I hope that what already exists will mostly be accepted.

There is guidance in the new docs now just out -

"To achieve this, specific measures should be implemented:
The maximum occupancy of each gym should be limited by providing a minimum of 100sqft per person. For this figure, the area is the net useable gym space available to members to use, including changing rooms, toilet and wash facilities. Reducing capacity in this way whilst sustaining ventilation flows, will increase the typical current 10l/s/p flow rate of ventilation to at least 20l/s/p, as fewer people are being served by the ventilation system.
Ventilation systems should provide 100% fresh air and not recirculate air from one space to another.
You should also consider:
Increasing the existing ventilation rate by fully opening dampers and running fans on full speed
Operating the ventilation system 24 hours a day
Increase the frequency of filter changes
In the absence of known ventilation rates, a carbon dioxide sensor shall be used as a surrogate indicator to switch on additional mechanical ventilation or open windows."

So I guess the ones that will have issues are those who don't have 100% fresh air circulating systems?
