Could this be mild coronavirus symptoms?

I'm feeling a bit unwell but not terrible. Yesterday I did a body pump workout using weights and i felt very out of breath, usually I would not be out of breath with this type of workout.

Yesterday I had a really bad headache, my sinuses felt strange and I felt dizzy at times.

Also yesterday when I woke up I felt like I had terrible hayfever.

Today I still don't feel right, I was abit out of breath when walking and feel pressure on my head.

Has anyone else had symptoms like this? Do you think I need to get a test?

I think I read on here at some point someone thought they had bad hayfever and it was corona virus.

My main concern is if I have it I don't want to go out and spread it so that's why I think perhaps I need a test.

Yup I'd say get a test.

Bumble84 · 09/07/2020 13:05

I don’t think it sounds like CV bit there’s zero harm in getting a test just in case. I think we should all be erring on the side of caution with this

I would get a test, there seem to be plenty of slots available these days. I know someone who has tested positive for antibodies and the only time they recall being ill was with mild cold symptoms and a headache.

So after speaking to nhs and then my go I went for a test so I shoukd have the results back within 48hours.

@NannyR - I thought they were saying just because you had covid doesn't mean you will have antibodies to it is that correct? I think i read somewhere the antibodies can go after a couple of months

It would be interesting to hear if you are positive or not. Fingers crossed all is ok whatever you have! I think our list of symptoms in the UK is too short, other countries list more possible symptoms.

StrawberryJam200 · 09/07/2020 15:09

Yes you might have COVID but not have antibodies either because they may "fade" or because you never produced them in the first place. Some cases seem to be fought off using T cells which is a stage before the body produces antibodies. Older people have /produce fewer T cells to start with which is a problem.

SaskiaRembrandt · 09/07/2020 15:54

The project to produce a plasma treatment were asking for older men who had been seriously ill to donate because they were the people most likely to have antibodies.

NannyR · 09/07/2020 15:57

Sorry, I didn't mean you should be tested for antibodies, just that the person I knew tested positive for antibodies, several weeks after mild cold symptoms, meaning that she'd had covid without the classic symptoms that you would expect.

I recently had a test and received the result (negative) by email 12 hours later.

RoseGallica · 09/07/2020 16:39

I have had these same symptoms for weeks. Have been assuming hay fever. Will be interested to see outcome of test.

zaffa · 09/07/2020 16:49

I had these symptoms and log my details on the Zoe Kings College app so they sent me for a test. It was negative and I'm fairly certain I had hay fever.

Oh yes DSS has come back from his mum with a cough so he and DH went off for a test at 4pm and got the results the next morning at 7:30 (also negative)
