(In England, because that’s where I am)

Things still closed:
Bowling alleys
Swimming pools
Nail bars

Things you can’t do:
Be within a metre of someone not in your household/ bubble.

I have become very confused with the rules now! But think the list of things that you can’t do is probably shorter than what you can!

Can MN help with a list or direct me to an (easy to read) list somewhere?

@felineflutter look on the Royal academy of dance website , there is conflicting info at the moment and dance studios are still officially closed .

I have had a look at the latest regulations. Participating in a gathering of more than 30 people is a criminal offence unless a specific exemption applies. As far as I can tell from a quick look, the stuff in the guidance about avoiding meetings of more than two households indoors or more than six people outdoors is now simply guidance and no longer a legal requirement.

NB. Above comment relates to England.

You're correct Lily. Iirc Boris even said in his statement to the commons when he was announcing all th 4th July changes that with the exception of large gatherings (i.e. over 30 people), the population are now being asked to follow guidance rather than the laying down strict dos and don'ts.

Can someone explain to me how you can meet another household indoors in a restaurant if you're meant to be social distancinf? You're not going to be 2m apart sitting at the same table Confused

Yes I think for a hell of a lot of people it is the end of social distancing now

Sod bowling alleys, swimming pools, nail bars ...

SCHOOLS

Schools are still closed to the majority of children. FFS. Hmm

Time2change2 · 05/07/2020 23:53

Life is pretty much open unless you are a child who hasn’t been invited back to school. Then you can go to:
School
A play ground
A soft play
Your hobby class
Any choir
Any dance class
Your gymnastics group
Pretty much anything you used to enjoy.

But that’s ok because adults mostly have their lives back

girlofthenorth · 07/07/2020 11:45

@LilyPond2 so can a group of more than 6 meet outside ?

Mistlewoeandwhine · 07/07/2020 12:53

I tutor in my home one to one. It’s a small room and the child could be one metre away but no more. I converted to online tuition at the beginning of lockdown and prefer to continue with that. I have some quite aggressive parents pushing for a return to face to face tuition. If anyone could link to a piece of government guidance saying that online is still safer and legally correct, I’d really appreciate it. I can’t seem to quite find what I’m looking for. I want to screenshot it and send to the (very right wing and wealthy) parents who are annoying me by constantly pushing for me to work in a way I don’t want to.
