Why is Scotland introducing it? Why isn’t England? Where is the data to show the risk of spread from children?

It would make life so much easier if it could be implemented throughout the UK ....

I am afraid I do not believe you Raffeley - and if it is true, if is extremely patronising.

And if there has actually been any central planning about education since April, I need to say it has been very bad, noticeable by its absence even.

I actually do not have words for the suggestion that blended learning was only ever a contingency because Scottish people might not follow the rules. Firstly, I do not believe it because of the level of planning which has gone into bubbles and the fact that the council does not seem to have a plan for full-time learning, only blended learning, and secondly, have you any idea how much STRESS it causes people, particularly single parents like myself, to wonder if they will be able to do their job if schools are only open two days a week. I still do not really believe schools will open full-time. Sorry but if you want to keep the public onside, this is not the way to go about it.

If what you say is true, then sorry but it single-handedly loses my vote for the government. Education has been a complete shambles through covid 19 and we still do not actually know what is happening in August. I struggle to believe there has been a plan in place.

I totally agree. Our parent council have been to several cluster meeting with the local authority. All focus was on getting blended learning. Markings being painted in the playground etc. Classrooms were all stripped and sorted for the blended learning model,

Our secondary school had plan a - 30% in school then scrapped that the Monday before John swinney said full time, went to plan b of 50% sent out confirmation to parents then had to send another on the Tuesday saying looks like full time, we will be in touch. Still don't quite know what's happening other than the date each year group goes back.

The unions certainly didn't think it was contingency plans either and are not happy
