Using sister for childcare during covid 19

Hi. So my work keep asking when I'll be able to return to the office. I usually only do 8 hours in the office and my sister has my 2 kids. I've been working from work following 5 weeks of furlough but now work want me in the office to help my colleague with the phone when I can. My question is- has anyone used family for childcare even though we're not supposed to? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Pretty sure from Saturday you'll be able to within the rules, if 2 households can meet inside? That's what I took it to mean.

Yes you are allowed, this was your previous childcare solution and it can be re-started. My daughter has been going to her childminder since start of June, it is no different.

@FallenSky I'd hoped it would mean that but we are supposed to be social distance even inside aren't we?

@ScottishGirl85 I thought they'd rewritten the law after the Cummings incident to state that childcare didn't include family?

No you don't have to socially distance in your support bubble. Or for childcare etc purposes.

I've carried on providing childcare for my GC throughout this. At the start, a Minister during Q&As said for essential childcare, it was allowed.

There's been some confusion over this.
