Outdoor Exercise Classes

My usual outdoor fitness class has been back up and running since the beginning of June, with around 20 people attending per session.
Based on advice on the government website (which says that outdoor group exercise classes / personal training should be limited to a maximum of 6 per session, which means 5 plus the coach), I've not been comfortable with the idea of going back. I've been told by our instructor that it's perfectly legal because the class stands in clusters of 6 (each person 2 metres apart from the other 5 in their cluster). I still think this is bending the rules a bit as it's still a gathering of 20+ in total. To be fair, I think it's quite safe. They don't use any shared equipment and are well spread out etc. I just don't feel comfortable with breaking the rules.
I'm the only person not attending and will lose my place if I don't return next week. It's a popular class and if I don't take up my place I'll probably be waiting months to get another one.
Would you go or not?

We've been doing classes since the guidance has changed, but strictly 5+instructor and its pants. We could easily have double the number socially distanced in the area we use.
Not sure i would feel safe with 30 though, I'd be too worried about the busybodies tbh.

What i can't understand is how 30 people from multiple households is safe in a wedding, but only 6 is allowed, socially distanced, outside. My poor instructor is going to be doing 2 tabata classes back to back one day next week and every class is booked out within seconds of the booking system going live.

Why aren't you going - because you are anxious about the virus or anxious about breaking the rules?

Depends how much you like the class I suppose.

I do think they are taking the mick though. Guidance is 6 people or coach plus five people. And each person should be 2m away from every other person, not from other "clusters".

@cologne4711 I'm more worried about breaking the rules than catching the virus. We're in an area with very low rates, there's no shared equipment and plenty of space for everyone to be well spread out.
There are roughly 20 people attending a class. Each cluster has up to 6 people. The people in the cluster are each at least 2m apart, and each cluster is at least 10m from another cluster, if that makes sense (they're in the 4 corners of the car park we use).
The instructor says that this is compliant with the rules as only 6 people exercising together, I say it's not as it's still a gathering of 20+ people.
I've said I'm happy to return as soon as the advice on the government website changes but they won't hold my place:
