They’re not two metres apart.

There are no mitigating factors.

It’s not even 4th of July yet.

The rules apparently don’t apply yet again.

Above all, why would you think it’s a good idea to be able to play table football in a restaurant? No masks, With all the hollering accompanying it.

I despair.

@Anyfucker

I’m only going on your comment...

Saying that we should just “get on with our lives” with the implication that we should just get back to normal is incredibly short-sighted.

There were plenty of people with that kind of attitude back in early March... and their “whatever” attitude didn’t end well. We’re seeing what happens in the US when States also went down a “just get on with your lives now”. It was kind of forgivable back in March, but now... it’s reckless.

As for the photo, I can’t get that worked up about it as they are work colleagues and Boris will be (very likely) immune... but I don’t think it was wise as it will only serve to encourage people to think social distancing is completely behind us, when that’s neither Government policy or very sensible.

FizzFan · 26/06/2020 21:54

I honestly do not care.

*Get on with your lives, everyone.

This.*

Who really gives 2 shiny shits?

AlecTrevelyan006 · 26/06/2020 22:05

Meh

jasjas1973 · 26/06/2020 22:12

Who really gives 2 shiny shits?

True, you can't save the idiots from themselves nor should we try.

noraclavicle · 26/06/2020 22:15

One of them has had Covid-19 & they live next door to each other, don’t they? Presumably they’re bubbling. How long is this craziness going to continue Confused

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 26/06/2020 22:16

Nope, indeed, everyone should make they’re own decisions. Idiots can come in many forms.

HollysBush · 26/06/2020 22:17

But surely they should be modelling the behaviour desired from the public?

TheWoodsareDarkandDeep · 26/06/2020 22:20

First time either of them had played it, that at least is for sure.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 26/06/2020 22:21

OhhhPeee · 26/06/2020 22:22

That’s not the most disturbing photo of Johnson I’ve seen today. This is!

Johnson's government has led a totally failed response against this virus. 66,000 excess deaths, the worst in Europe, and 2nd worst in the entire world. Everything he and his government say and do must be scrutinised and questioned to the Nth degree as they have not earned any leeway or assumption of competence from their past actions. Nor has Johnson through his personal and professional history as a compulsive liar.

Queenoftheashes · 26/06/2020 22:39

@OhhhPeee can you give any context for that photo?

Perhaps it was created to be the subject of a caption competition?

olympicsrock · 26/06/2020 22:40

Did you miss something ? Boris has had it. He can’t give it to Sunak and Sunak couldn’t give it to Boris.

Use a bit of common sense .

jasjas1973 · 26/06/2020 22:41

@Cam77 Won't happen, idiots think he is untouchable, odds on he'll be PM post 2024 whatever happens next.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/06/2020 22:43

They are supposed to be modelling behaviour that they expect the public to follow.
It's definitely a case of do what we say, not do what we do with them.

OhhhPeee · 26/06/2020 22:46

@Queenoftheashes it’s been widely circulated all week, it shows Johnson and Richard Desmond at an event in 2014. Desmond has of course been embroiled in the Jenrick planning application, ahem, “situation”.

vera99 · 26/06/2020 22:47

When history is written and the final bill is tallied one name shall be associated with tens of thousands of needless deaths. And that name is Johnson - his hands are dripping with blood. Winter is coming and no-ones in charge just an entitled morality free idiot.

vera99 · 26/06/2020 22:50

The reality is probably something like this .....

So the people who’ve tested positive for the virus are exempt from all social distancing rules? That’s interesting. Must have missed that particular briefing.

Couldn't give a shit what those two are doing, or what anyone else is doing for that matter.

Just get on with your life.

Bashfull900 · 26/06/2020 23:28

A bit of common sense is needed here. Boris has had it already so most probably not carrying so no longer infectious and even even if Sunak is infectious then Boris is not at risk because he's already had it. Am I not seeing something obvious?

PeasInAPot · 26/06/2020 23:32

Sunak looks like a doll in that picture, his hair is so slicked. Im not sure hes real
